Gatorade Commercials

I love poetry. And I love the rhythm, flow and beauty of this Gatorade spot called “Wooden Poem.” Coach John Wooden has a great voice. And I really like the message of setting an example.

Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are. – John Wooden

I’d rather have a lot of talent and a little experience than a lot of experience and a little talent. -John Wooden

Success is never final, failure is never fatal. It’s courage that counts. -John Wooden

Coach Wooden is a most extraordinary man…He gave me that poem a few years ago when he knew I wanted to become a father. When my son was born nine months ago, Coach wrote him a letter. What a gift Coach Wooden has been…both to my son and the world!

That is incredible that you personally Coach Wooden and it’s even more incredible that he gave you this poem as a gift. What an honor!
